back

The administration module provides access to areas of the system that are of a nature that they are leveraged by the rest of the system. The settings window can be accessed from the Dashboard.

Edit

Group

Everything in the system is grouped under a single entity named, appropriately enough, Group. From here you can edit the Group name, address and logo utilized by Reports that print at a Group level. Additionally, the options available based on your purchase can be managed using this tool.

See Group.

Edit

Stations

Each Group can have one or more Station entries associated. From here you can edit the Station name, call letters, address, logo, phone, email, default Station options, etc.

See Stations.

Edit

Users

To allow access to the system, each person must have their own account that we refer to as a User. This is where you can add, remove, and apply security settings (access) on a Group-by-Group/Station-by-Station basis.

See Users.

Edit

Sales People

To simplify the creation of "sales accounts" for the usage within the system (but not necessarily for the purposes of an actual person using the system); the Sales People tool significantly reduces the amount of information and steps to create a salesperson. (Note: This does create a User account; however, it is created in such a way that it is not usable as an account to sign into the system unless you make further changes using the Users tool.)

See Salespeople.

Edit

Agencies

Person or company that places advertising on your Station on behalf of a Customer and usually provide Copy as part of the service they render to the Customer. In exchange, they are usually allowed an AgencyCommission discount on the gross Invoice amount; collecting the full amount from the Customer and paying the Station the net difference.

Conflicts

Provides a means in which the scheduling engine will protect similar products from appearing close to one another on the Log. For example, you might not want car dealerships to run back to back (or very close) to one another. This protection works on a Contract by Contract basis and is in addition to Customer separation. There can be up to two Conflicts configured on each Contract.

Revenue Types

When you create a Contract, you will need to specify a RevenueType; which is most often is used to designate a Contract as cash or trade. This value will define how Agency and sales Commission is applied; items marked as "trade" will treat all values on the Contract as zero dollars for the purposed of Commission calculation (essentially turning off Commission for the Contract).

Additionally, this selection provides a means to filter certain types of sales into separate sales Reports. Most Reports allow you to choose which RevenueTypes to include when generating.

See RevenueTypes.

Edit

Revenue Sources

Provides the ability to filter various Reports. A Contract can be assigned to a single RevenueSource.

See RevenueSources.

Edit

Templates

Templates are what is used in the system to build the Log structure. These can then be used to help build your Formats and additionally be used by the Log to make substitutional changes to a particular days Format. As part of the Templates, you can also create Formats. You have a Format for Monday through Sunday. Until these are done, no Log entries can be generated.

If multiple Station entries are configured, you'll be prompted for which Station that will be used.

Voices (Optional)

Voices are yet another way to ensure a clean separation between the scheduling of spots. By providing a voice when entering a Contract, the system will restrict placing the same voice back-to-back during the automatic placement process.
